Free Your Ears

As I listen to new main stream music that is out now, I notice how much of the artistic influence is taken away from the music. Corporations seem to be dictating what words to say; and they have think tanks that sit around and determine what people should like and/or should be listening to, all just for money.

What ever happened to the "little guy"? What ever happened to the little bands that put their hearts and souls into their music and produce very good quality and (most importantly) meaningful music.

Since the corporate influence started, I have noticed more and more people being drawn to that corporate main-stream, and less focusing on that "little guy." I have seen a lot of local and original music that is fantastic. However, the crowds get smaller and smaller.

People... Fans... Music Lovers...

Please don't fall into that trap! I urge you to explore music options that you don't see on TV, or that you don't hear on the radio corporations. You may just find that little hole in the wall with 3 people there anda b band. AND... you may love it!

Let's stop the choke-hold on free speech and free art. Let's stop the choke-hold on good artistic views, not what the corporations want you to hear. "The time is now, step away from the crowd..."

Thanks,

Mike
